It works both as a bottle stopper and, thanks to its included glass stand, as a display object when not in use.

The Dolphin That Carried Arion
According to Herodotus, the celebrated lyre player Arion was returning from Italy when the sailors on his ship plotted to rob and kill him. Arion won a single request: to sing one last song before dying. His song was so beautiful that dolphins drawn by his voice gathered around the ship. Arion threw himself into the sea — and a dolphin carried him safely to shore on its back.
This stopper’s dolphin figure carries that moment of rescue. It is produced in our atelier by investment casting: a hand-shaped wax model, a refractory mould, then stainless steel poured at high heat. The fluidity of the motion is preserved on the hand-finished surface.
The food-safe inner stopper keeps wine from air; when not in use, the figure rests on its own glass stand. It comes in three colour options. Like the dolphin that carried Arion, this sculpture brings an unexpected grace and sense of trust to your table.
