The Dwelling of the Gods
Olympos is the dwelling of the twelve. The ancient Greeks imagined this summit as a place set above the world, past the clouds, closed to mortal weather. Zeus holds the throne there; Hera sits beside him; Poseidon governs the sea, Hades the depths, and yet Olympos remains quiet. Strategy here is not pastime. It is the ordering of the cosmos itself.
This set gives that quiet a form. In our Istanbul atelier each piece is made by investment casting, the direct descendant of the lost-wax method Greek bronze-workers used for divine statuary roughly two millennia ago. Wax model, refractory mould, high heat, then stainless steel. Surfaces are hand-finished; nothing reaches its box without a final inspection.
The board is cut from a single block of marble brought to the workshop, so every set carries its own grain. The kings stand ten centimetres tall, weighted to be felt in the hand. Even unplayed, the set lends a room its own atmosphere, not an accessory on the shelf, but the shelf’s quiet centre.
